Therapiewissenschaften Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter / Postdoc

Dr. Lukas Streese hat Sport und Leistung im Bachelor und Sport- und Bwegungsgerontologie im Master an der Deutschen Sporthochschule in Köln studiert. Während seines Studiums hat Herr Streese bereits am Psychologischen Institut der Deutschen Sporthochschule als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter gearbeitet und an unterschiedlichen Forschungsprojekten mitgewirkt. Im Anschluss an sein Studium hat Herr Streese seine Promotion an der Medizinischen Fakultät in Basel absolviert. Er durchlief dabei das PhD Program in Health Sciences (PPHS) der Universität Basel und war in der Präventiven Sportmedizin und Systemphysiologie des Departments für Sport, Bewegung und Gesundheit (DSBG) angestellt. Unter der Betreuung von Prof. Henner Hanssen war Herr Streese verantwortlich für die Durchführung der Exercise, Arterial Crosstalk-Modulation, and Inflammation in an Aging Population (EXAMIN AGE) Studie. Im Rahmen dieser Studie hat Herr Streese seine Promotion mit summa cum laude im Juli 2019 abgeschlossen. Im Anschluss hat Herr Streese weiter in der Sportmedizin am DSBG gearbeitet und war für diverse Forschungsprojekte sowie die Lehre in den Bachelor- und Masterstudiengängen des DSBGs verantwortlich. Seit dem 01.01.2022 ist Herr Streese im Rahmen des FH Personal Programms an der Hochschule Niederrhein und der Uniklinik in Düsseldorf beschäftigt. Im Rahmen dieses Programms wird Herr Streese an der Hochschule im Studiengang Angewandte Therapiewissenschaften lehren und sowohl an der Hochschule als auch an der Uniklinik seine Forschung weiterführen.

 

Forschungsschwerpunkt

Die Forschung von Herrn Streese befasst sich unter anderem mit den Auswirkungen von Sport und Bewegung auf das Gefäßsystem. Dazu hat Herr Streese bereits diverse internationale Veröffentlichungen in hochrangigen Fachjournalen publiziert. Herr Streese untersucht dabei sowohl Kinder und Jugendliche, als auch gesunde Erwachsene und diverse Patientenklientele. Ein Schwerpunkt seiner Forschung liegt in der Entwicklung sensitiver nicht-invasiver Methoden zur Beurtielung des karviovaskulären Risikos, die in der Lage sind die Effekte von Bewegungstherapie auf Gefäßebene zu diagnostizieren. Durch die vielen nationalen und internationalen Kooperationspartner, ist es Herr Streese möglich auch diverse mechanistische Ansätze zu untersuchen.
